What is Bankroll?
The total amount of money set aside exclusively for betting.
Definition
Your bankroll is the dedicated capital you treat as 'gambling money', kept separate from rent and savings. Professional and serious recreational bettors size every bet as a percentage of bankroll — typically 1-2% per bet — so a losing run cannot wipe them out. Rebuilding a blown bankroll is psychologically and mathematically much harder than protecting one. Track every bet and update your bankroll figure weekly.
Example
A $5,000 bankroll with 1% staking means each bet is $50. After 100 bets you'll have meaningful sample size for ROI tracking.
