What is European Handicap?
A three-way handicap market in football where the draw on the adjusted scoreline is a possible outcome.
Definition
European Handicap (EH) applies a whole-number handicap to one side and treats the resulting scoreline as 1X2 — there are three outcomes: home covers, handicap draw, away covers. Unlike Asian Handicap, there's no quarter-line option and no half-stake mechanic. EH is popular for backing favourites in mismatched fixtures because the handicap draw outcome creates an extra hedge possibility.
Example
Brazil -2 EH vs Bolivia at 1.80. Brazil wins 3-0 → bet wins. Brazil wins 2-0 → handicap draw, bet loses (unless you backed the draw).
